So I've been back in Melbourne for four days now. How has it been? First two days; just dull as shit I tell ya. I was so home sick. So bad, you have no idea. I couldn't even sleep at night, until some superman came to the rescue. It's like, you know how, when you're alone,
all alone, with the
whole damn apartment to yourself, oh man I just wished my sisters were back that time. That one time. Seriously. I've been calling home, for like a million times vice versa. So much so, when Dad called just now, he said "no wonder Maxis built another bulding". I called home at like 2 in the morning yesterday, after bathing, finally unpacking and emptying my luggage and rearranging the stupid packed-lk-sardines cupboard of mine and my sister's. All that done, at 1 ish in the morning. Weird, I am.
I know if Jason and Fei read this, they'll quote me as usual. But I really wish I was home now, come on, it's the freaking Chinese New Year k please. No matter how many times I said "I'm ready to go back to Melbourne now" when I was in KL, ahh I swear I just wanna go home for CNY now. Here are just the few of the many things that are different here compared to KL;
1) Toilet seat, it's not as comfortable, it's too ass-hugging.
2) The bloody bed, it's a SINGLE bed!
3) The feel of my bed sheet and comforter and all that jazz.
4) The bloody small bathroom.
5) When I go online, I have to limit myself to the number of blogs that I visit. So bad, that
sometimes I won't even visit them, all in the name of
fucking limited bandwith. I don't
like planning the websites that I visit okay.
6) Food? Company? It's just different. I don't wake up to hawker food anymore. No Taman Tun
Market's soya bean. Bangsar Pan Meen. Taman Tun's chao kuey teow. Just to name a few.
7) I don't wake up to mummy's nagging anymore. Ironic it is, but I miss it just a little, I guess?
8) OMG la the fucking list goes on. It's a never ending one.
See how bad my Post Departure Syndrome is? It's getting better now that everyone is almost back. As much as I hate to admit, I
cannot live alone. Silence, absence and everything along that line kills Chen.

One of the days in KL; Rib Shop @ Damansara Heights.

The group's little baby's 17th Birthday, like finally!

Our surprise that semi-worked, all because Chin opened the door.

Daniel's Levis Ad.

This pic seems like it was taken just today, can't believe it was taken like, the day Chin left for KL last year. Sigh. Time flies. I feel old.
Talking about feeling old, Shazy and I just met up with Fairuz today. Like Beruang Fairuz. Suddenly Shazy said "we're in uni" and omg yes we are. Fairuz is like, three years our junior? My gosh. And last night, we were walking Lisher back to Grattan so we rang Tan Jay Son 'cos he lives on Grattan too, so he came and we talked for a while. It's good to see how our juniors are growing up. But I still feel old. And hopefully, with age, comes maturity?
Oh yes, I swear, Melbourne should be named KL #2. It's like..everyone's here?
Just from Cempaka;
Daniel
Raymond
Viv
Greg
Myself
Shazy
Zong
Hao Rui
Alfred
Yits
Ben (coming)
Aaron
Yong How
Alex Loh
Kim Fui
And today, I bumped into Ching who was gonna meet Jun Wei, Marcus and two of Shazy's Taylors' friends. Like what the hell, somehow, just somehow, everyone seems to be connected here.
I miss home.
To everyone back home, nicely enjoying chinese new year, well, I envy you and here's one for each and everyone of you.
kong hey fatt choy.
Hope this brand new spanking 2007 bring all of you fantastic health, longevity, prosperity, overflowing wealth, genuine happiness and never ending luck. Enjoy the fire works, lion dance and all that good food man.
Love,
Chen.

Life can be a bitch sometimes, really. But it's
so fragile sometimes, it makes you wonder if you'll even live to see tomorrow.
This entry goes out to U-jun and his (maybe not so) little brother anymore. I know the boys will never read this but you guys have my deepest sympathies. Your mom has suffered a great deal and it's probably God's wish to take her away to a better place to rest. May your mom rest in peace.
I hope the both of you will stay strong in times like this to weather the storm together.

I'm not just about anywhere near ready to update on the Penang trip cos I'm sort of suffering from Pre Departure Syndrome now. Yes yes, very emo. Very heavy hearted. Very don't wanna go back. But anyway, Penang was all about food. Food. FOOD. Get it? That's pretty much it.
To the Trinity family, see you guys back in Melbourne and hopefully one more toast to the new year. We'll have our own little partay there kay? Buy the lion head, Greg can be in front, and Viv behind. We'll be the audience. Fuck, this is too much to handle, we're all leaving MALAYSIA in less than a week. OH FUCK.
This goes out to all my KL friends; yeah, sorry we haven't been hanging/chillings a lot, I'll still be able to see some of you before I go. And well, most of you are bound for Melbourne anyway. Only a matter of time. And of course, to the greatest most honourable bestest friend, tong kar leng, I'm positive I'll be seeing lots of your face this year. I'm sure MAS will be your best friend and that you'll be flying up and down between KL and Melb like there's no tomorrow. Right?
People I have not seen; Jay Son -- I'll see him in Melb. Haha.
Fie -- I'll also see her in Melb, hopefully, during CNY.
Anybody else whom I've not seen, I'll see either in my few more precious days left in KL, OR end of the year.
Emo emo.
